Law360 published an article, “Fed. Circ. Told Samsung's FRAND Bid Distorts Int'l Norms,” updating the ongoing litigation between Samsung and Ericsson. Following Samsung’s attempt to overturn U.S. District Judge Rodney Gilstrap's decision barring the companies from fighting over patents essential to the 4G and 5G wireless standards exclusively in China, Ericsson submitted a brief stating that “the two cases proceeding in tandem — Ericsson's suit in the Eastern District of Texas and Samsung's in Wuhan, China — without either court interfering in the other suit is exactly the international norm that the U.S. Supreme Court has recognized for more than a century.” Read the entire article here.
Ericsson is represented by McKool Smith principals Sam Baxter, Nicolas Matich, Nick Mathews, and Blake Bailey.
