DALLAS – McKool Smith is ranked No. 7 in both The Dallas Morning News’ 2010 listing of the Top Midsize 100 Workplaces in Dallas/Fort Worth and in the Austin American-Statesman’s listing of small business Top Workplaces in Greater Austin - the highest ranking received by a law firm in both cities.
The Dallas Morning News compiles the Top Workplaces list based on surveys of thousands of employees from companies located throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Survey respondents were asked for their opinions on leadership, ethics, career opportunities and company direction. The survey also evaluated life/work balance, employee compensation and the effectiveness of company leaders.
The Austin American-Statesman and WorkplaceDynamics LLC, a Pennsylvania-based company with expertise in employee engagement surveys, designed and conducted anonymous surveys, analyzed the results and came up with the list of the top 75 Austin-area employers. During the research process, companies were rated on 18 statements covering issues such as leadership, direction, workplace environment and pay, and grouped within small, medium and large groups, based on their number of employees.
