"We represent the State of Texas in ongoing litigation against Meta Platforms Inc. regarding the use and capture of biometric data in violation of Texas’ biometric privacy law and the DTPA. Recently, we have had several big wins concerning highly contested discovery disputes including the following: the right to information regarding Meta products available in Texas that use facial recognition; answers on whether Meta informed Texans and received consent to capture biometric data; details on how Meta systems were used to implement the technology; and the right to obtain email discovery from Meta’s top executives including its CEO Mark Zuckerberg." - Jennifer Truelove
