Dallas Principal Avery Williams spoke with Westlaw Today about the recently released U.S. Copyright Office report on the impact of artificial intelligence on copyrighted works, which was featured in their article, "Q&A: Defining Rules for New Technology — What the Copyright Office's Report on AI Means for IP Attorneys." Avery says, "The biggest area of litigation in generative AI right now is whether the use of copyrighted materials to train generative AI systems falls under the "fair use" exception to copyright infringement."
