McKool Smith has been named one of the “Top Workplaces in Dallas” by The Dallas Morning News, and one of the “Top Small Workplaces” in Austin by the Austin American-Statesman. This is the third consecutive year that the firm has been recognized in these areas.
McKool Smith is ranked fifth in the listing of top midsize companies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area - the highest ranking received by a law firm. The firm’s Dallas office has 64 attorneys and more than 95 staff members. The Austin office is home to 32 attorneys and 25 staff members.
The Dallas Morning News compiles the “Top Workplaces” list based on surveys of thousands of employees from companies located throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Survey respondents were asked for their opinion on leadership, ethics, career opportunities, and company direction. The survey also evaluated life/work balance, employee compensation, and the effectiveness of company leaders.
The Austin American-Statesman and WorkplaceDynamics LLC, a Pennsylvania-based company with expertise in employee engagement surveys, designed and conducted anonymous surveys, analyzed the results and came up with the list of the top 75 Austin-area employers. During the research process, companies were rated on 18 statements covering issues such as leadership, direction, workplace environment and pay, and grouped within small, medium and large groups, based on their number of employees.
With more than 175 trial lawyers across offices in Austin, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Marshall, New York, Silicon Valley, and Washington, DC, McKool Smith has established a reputation as one of America’s leading trial firms. The firm has won more National Law Journal and VerdictSearch “Top 100 Verdicts” over the last five years than any other law firm. McKool Smith represents leading clients across a broad range of practice areas, including complex commercial litigation, intellectual property, bankruptcy, and white collar defense.
