Lex Machina, a provider of Legal Analytics for law firms and companies, released its first-ever Patent Litigation Damages Report today. The report analyzes both total (cumulative) and median damages awarded in 36,629 patent cases that were filed and terminated between 2000 and 2013.
When identifying law firms that have won the most compensatory damages in patent litigation, McKool Smith topped the list with $2.04 billion total in 23 cases.
