Austin principal Josh Budwin has been named a 2015 “Rising Star” by Law60. This annual feature recognizes the profession's top legal talent under the age of 40. To compile the 2015 list, Law360 selected a total of 144 rising stars, across 29 practice areas, from a record number of 1,200 submissions.
In selecting Josh as a top IP attorneys under 40, Law360 noted his contributions in helping the firm secure three massive, nine-figure patent verdicts for ParkerVision Inc., Versata Software Inc. and Medtronic PLC totaling more than $768 million over the past seven years. Most recently, in January, Josh helped McKool Smith secure a $15 million verdict on behalf of Droplets Inc. against Overstock.com Inc. and Sears Holding Corp after a four-day trial in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
