The article discusses Edward Lampert, the billionaire who led Sears Holdings Corp. into bankruptcy, has increased his offer to more than $5 billion, in a last-ditch effort to keep the ailing retailer alive. Jeff said that what unsecured creditors have wanted all along is more cash to cover their claims, and it isn’t clear if Mr. Lampert’s revised bid offers that.
