DALLAS – McKool Smith is pleased to announce the firm’s continued support of the Vogel Alcove as the Pinnacle Sponsor of the organization’s 20th Annual Arts Performance event.
The Vogel Alcove is the only early childhood program in Dallas whose primary focus is to serve very young children residing with their families in local homeless and domestic violence shelters. McKool Smith co-founder and Chairman Mike McKool and his wife Erin, a Vogel Alcove board member, served as immediate past co-chairs for this year’s event along with AT&T Inc. Group President Forrest Miller and his wife Cynthia.
“Once again, we want to thank the dedicated team at Vogel Alcove for their incredible, year-round efforts to help the homeless in Dallas,” said Mr. McKool. “We’re happy to lend our support to this year’s event.”
The Annual Arts Performance was held on May 10, 2011, at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in the Dallas Arts District. The performance represents Vogel Alcove’s largest fundraising event each year. Award-winning actress, comedienne and recording artist Lily Tomlin served as the featured entertainer, recalling her long career in movies, television, and Broadway.
Vogel Alcove provides a range of free social services for Dallas area homeless infants, preschool children and their families. At the Alcove, children develop social and interpersonal skills, enjoy supervised play, and learn basic educational skills important to their long-term development in a stable and nurturing environment. McKool Smith has been a proud supporter of Vogel Alcove for more than 15 years.
