DALLAS – Mike McKool, Co-Founder and Chairman of McKool Smith, recently accepted the 2012 “Trial Lawyer of the Year” award from the Dallas Bar Association (DBA) during a reception held in Horseshoe Bay, Texas.
Mr. McKool received the award during the DBA's annual Bench Bar Conference on Sept. 27, 2012. The prestigious award is presented annually to a DBA member who best exemplifies the principles of the legal profession and who has achieved extraordinary success in the courtroom.
“I am honored to be named ‘Trial Lawyer of the Year’ by my colleagues in the Dallas Bar Association,” said Mr. McKool. “I’m proud to be recognized among this distinguished group of attorneys.”
During the award ceremony, Mr. McKool was introduced by fellow attorney and longtime client Frank C. Vecella, Associate General Counsel-Litigation for Ericsson Inc. The award presentation included a video tribute to Mr. McKool and his career, featuring interviews with attorneys and former judges who have worked with him over the years.
