Vogel Alcove, a Dallas organization that provides social services for homeless children, honored McKool Smith as its 2012 "Corporate Champion” during the organization’s Ambassadors of Hope Awards Luncheon at the Dallas Ritz Carlton on October 24, 2012.
Mike McKool, McKool Smith’s co-Founder and Chairman, was on hand to accept the award, which recognizes "exemplary support of Vogel Alcove." McKool Smith has been a supporter of Vogel Alcove for more than 15 years. In 2011, the firm announced a donation of $100,000 in support of the organization’s efforts to provide a range of free social services and child care for homeless infants, preschool children, and their families.

Vogel Alcove is the only free comprehensive early childhood education program in the city of Dallas whose primary focus is to provide free childcare and case management for children and their families residing in 18 local emergency shelters, domestic violence shelters and housing programs.
