In response to a significant increase in national credit card debt, Congress introduced legislation aimed at providing consumers with access to credit on terms that are fair and easily understood. David Schiefelbein, an Associate at McKool Smith, co-authored an article on this legislation, the Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility and Disclosure Act of 2009 (CARD Act), which appeared in The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel magazine.
