McKool Smith principal Robert Manley contributed to a study conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers called “Daubert Challenges to Financial Experts” which discusses the impact of the US Supreme Court’s opinion in Daubert v. Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals Inc regarding the admissibility of expert scientific testimony in federal trials. Robert and Ryan provided insight into the use of Daubert challenges at the class certification stage and the practical effects of the Supreme Court’s failure to definitively weigh in on the subject.
