Overview

Brandon Merrill is an Associate in McKool Smith's Washington, D.C. office. His practice focuses on patent litigation.

Brandon attended the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where he served as a research editor for the Journal of Law & Innovation. While in law school, Brandon served as a pro bono law clerk for the Christian Legal Clinics of Philadelphia, primarily focusing on estate planning and property disputes. Brandon also was a National Semifinalist for the AIPLA Giles S. Rich Memorial Moot Court Competition.

Before attending law school, Brandon gained experience with a wide array of technologies through his various roles as a university research assistant and working in various engineering industries. Brandon has specific experience in additive manufacturing, construction, heavy machinery, HVAC, and optics.
