Overview
Daniel Hendler is an associate in the New York office and a key member of McKool Smith’s standout financial litigation practice. He handles all aspects of commercial and antitrust litigation with a focus on contract disputes involving residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) and commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) claims. The practice group has represented trustees in more than 20 RMBS actions for breach of representations and warranties concerning billions of dollars in mortgage loans by Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, Nomura, WMC Mortgage, Merrill Lynch, and Bank of America, among others. Daniel was also part of a two-lawyer team that recently secured a $27 million summary judgment victory for the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) in a CMBS dispute over proceeds from the 2015 sale of Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village.
