Overview
Makayla Ashe is an Associate in McKool Smith's New York office.
She earned her undergraduate degree from The Pennsylvania State University, where she was a founding member of the Black Leadership Council, working to address challenges faced by Black students. At Fordham University School of Law, she served as the Editor in Chief of The Fordham Law Moot Court Board and coached the Maria L. Marcus National Team to win The National Moot Court Competition hosted by The New York City Bar Association. She also won the Cardozo BMI Moot Court Competition, which focuses on copyright and trademark issues, in 2023. During law school, she interned with the Federal Trade Commission and worked as a Legal Writing teaching assistant.
